Seek Relief At Our Back and Neck Pain Clinic
Are you experiencing acute back or neck pain? If so, you should know that you are not alone. In fact, these common ailments can occur suddenly and result in intense symptoms. Moreover, back and neck pain can become chronic conditions that last for weeks, months, or even years.
A common cause of back or neck pain is a muscle injury due to stretching fibers too far. Scenarios that might result in a muscle injury include lifting heavy weights improperly or repetitive motions that stress back or neck muscles. Muscle injuries can also occur suddenly, such as during an automobile accident, or a slip and fall at home or work.
Fortunately, you do not have to let such injuries limit your ability to participate in physical activities. UGH Pain & Spine is one of the area’s leading back and neck pain clinics. Our team of first-rate doctors are able to evaluate signs and symptoms of back and neck pain, as well as help patients, treat and manage those conditions.
Even if you feel as if your back and neck pain is minor or manageable, the underlying condition can worsen over time if it is not properly handled. Make an appointment today to visit one of our six conveniently located back pain clinics and neck pain clinics. Our chiropractic experts are here both to relieve you of your pain and to deliver long lasting health outcomes.
Common Causes of Neck and Back Pain
Chronic back pain targets different regions, including the lower back, the middle back, upper back and lower back pain. The most common causes of back pain are spinal misalignments, nerve, and muscular disease and arthritis. A common source for lower back pain is a lumbar ruptured disc or herniated disc, which includes such symptoms as dull or sharp pain, muscle spasm or cramping, and sciatica, which is a form of back pain that targets the sciatic nerve.
As for neck pain, it usually results from a muscle strain due to poor posture from either looking up or down for extended periods or by sleeping in awkward or uncomfortable positions. One common form of neck pain is osteoarthritis, a form of joint disease that stems from “wear and tear” of the joints. While most neck pain can be relieved after a few days with over-the-counter medications, chronic neck pain can, in some cases, be an underlying sign of serious damage to underlying tissues or joints.
